Initially hired by Childress Klein in March 1990 as a Life/Safety Officer, Gene transitioned to CK’s Parking Operations Manager position in 2005 after a long career with our Security management team. His extensive security management background, and well as his intimate knowledge of security technology has made him the ideal fit and nearly twenty years later he continues to provide management and oversight of a parking team of 9 full-time employees and 5 part-time employees.

Gene’s day-to-day tasks include conducting daily safety and inspection checks of the facilities, as well as developing and maintaining vendor relationships. He is also responsible for creating and implementing operating and procedural guidelines for the department with regards to cash handling and reporting protocol.

Gene's remarkable ability to multitask, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain meticulous attention to detail has earned him the sole responsibility for scheduling and executing special event parking in Uptown Charlotte. From thrilling sporting events to captivating concerts, Gene ensures that every attendee enjoys a seamless parking experience.

With an active and hands-on approach, Gene has become the driving force behind our parking operations. From his initial role as a Life/Safety Officer to his current position as the Parking Operations Manager, Gene's journey exemplifies his unwavering commitment to excellence and his indispensable contribution to our team's success.
