In the early 1980’s, Childress Klein acquired nearly 75 acres of land just one exit north of the I-77 / I-85 interchange to develop the NorthPark Business Park. This Class A, master planned business park consistently tops the list of largest Mecklenburg County’s industrial parks, ranked by total leasable square feet with just over 2 million leasable square feet in 16 buildings.
Beginning in 1981 with the development of NorthPark I, Childress Klein has since developed a total of 15 buildings in the NorthPark Business Park community, consisting of more than 1.5 million square feet of industrial warehouse, office and distribution space.
Today, Childress Klein owns, leases and manages 8 buildings (XI, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX), totaling 1,167,360 square feet of light manufacturing and distribution space.
