Based in Atlanta, Childress Klein’s co-founder and Managing Partner, Don Childress, harnesses his passion for identifying new development opportunities and propelling strategic initiatives. With a career in real estate development and management beginning in 1971 at Trammell Crow, he has held pivotal roles such as Regional Partner, National Partner, and Management Board member.

In 1988, he and Fred Klein established Childress Klein, continuing to steer the company with a dedication to creating quality projects, giving back to the community, and delivering top-notch customer service.

A strong advocate for community engagement, Don holds positions in local and national organizations, including roles as an Emeritus Trustee of Trinity School, a Board member and past Chairman of the Midtown Atlanta Community Improvement District, an Emeritus Trustee of the Schenck School, and a Board member at The Westminster Schools. He has also led as the Emeritus Chairman of The Lovett School’s Board of Trustees, and is currently an Emeritus Member and Past Rector of the Board of Trustees at Washington and Lee University.

Today, Don continues to leverage his immense experience and innate passion to drive Childress Klein’s growth and strategic initiatives. His enduring commitment to driving quality, community-focused projects and delivering exceptional customer service remains integral to the company’s success and the enhancement of Atlanta’s urban landscape.
